Environmental Biosafety Research: a journal to fill a unique scientific niche |
|
The results of research related to science-based
risk assessment of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are dispersed
through an extremely broad range of fields and journals. This
interdisciplinary feature makes GMO biosafety research a particularly
interesting intellectual topic, but it is difficult to follow new
developments across this broad and actively growing domain. The purpose
of this journal is to fill this gap in scientific communication, by
providing a single forum for the reporting and discussion of
environmental GMO biosafety issues, whether these involve bacteria,
plants or animals.
